The Tolosa bean is known worldwide as a favorite among top chefs: the famous black pearl of Tolosa.

On Saturday, Tolosa bean producers organize a competition to choose the best bean of the year and another to choose the best cook.

In recent years, the Bean Brotherhood has given the festival a Basque festival atmosphere, enlivening the day with trikitixa players, dancing, giants, pelota matches, bertsolaris (Basque improvisational poets), and more. At lunchtime, all the groups begin enjoying the bean stew offered by the bars and restaurants of Tolosa, continuing the festivities into the afternoon.

And as if that weren't enough, a special fair is organized where attendees, in addition to buying the traditional accompaniments (cabbage, vegetable black pudding, Ibarra peppers, and chorizo), can also taste the beans!! Enjoy! On Egin!
