Thoreau - Urmara Museum
This unique space owes its name to Henry David Thoreau (Concord, Massachusetts, 1817-1862). The naturalist and philosopher wrote "Walden," inspired by his experience living in a cabin in the woods for two years. Among his many publications, he is also the author of "A Manifesto of Civil Disobedience." In 1992, Koldobika and Elena built this place, inspired by Thoreau's philosophy of natural living and his writings.
It is currently linked to the "Hitzaren babesa" (Word Refuge) project, dedicated to poetry and free thought.
