Interactive installation by the Binéfar Puppeteers in the Anbigu Room.
A brief description of the Binéfar Puppeteers: TOPIC has enjoyed a close relationship with the Binéfar Puppeteers company for many years, and at the 2025 Titirijai Festival, we once again had the opportunity to experience their work firsthand through the performance "Antón Retaco." The play is based on the children's book of the same name by author María Luisa Gefaell and presents a world of traveling artists through the innocent and poetic eyes of the dwarf boy Antón. This production celebrates the value of popular theater through freedom, travel, and play. At the same time, it highlights the tradition of the glove puppet and its expressive power through simple yet effective mechanisms.
The structure of the performance, a backdrop without fabric from which the puppets hang, will remain in the TOPIC's Anbigu Room until April 12th.
Guided tours will be available for the whole family. Visitors will be able to touch and manipulate the puppets while watching the projected show.
March 6, 27, and April 10.
5:00 PM in Basque and 6:00 PM in Spanish.
