Rafa Gorrotxategi’s sweets
The third generation of the Gorrotxategi family is still involved in confectionery. They make a wide range of sweets, combining tradition and innovation: top quality artisan chocolates with Ibarra or Ezpeleta peppers, roses with petals, ruby chocolate and strawberries, pistachios, etc.
They also make all kinds of homemade nougats, which they combine with a wide range of ingredients. Other more novel sweets are the Basque pelota balls.
Gorrotxas are another of their star products: they are like the Basque Macarons, the Xaxus of yesteryear.
