Hernialde
At the foothills of Mount Hernio
It takes its name from Mount Hernio (1,075 m.) located at the base of its slopes. The nucleus of the village, located on the Mendigain hill, constitutes a hidden corner from which you can appreciate excellent views of Mount Uzturre.

A lonely ash tree
Lizarbakar is located on the base of Herniozabal mountain, on a hill halfway between Hernialde and Tolosa’s Urkizu neighbourhood. Part of the path goes along a former paved road. A calm place, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of Tolosa.
Interesting farmhouses
Olatzaga farmhouse was one of the first built in Gipuzkoa. Here lived Cura Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz priest), priest and Carlist soldier. Other notable farmhouses are Anotzaga, with a beautiful coat of arms, and Urdanbilelus.

Located on the upper part of the village. Found in 1917, with a 150m depth, divided in two galleries with different chimneys. Inside a polished stone axe was found, which now can be seen at San Telmo museum in St. Sebastian. It is said that there’s an underground lake, providing water to the spring of the same name located nearby.
