Guided tours to discover the essence of Tolosaldea
Immerse yourself in the history of Tolosa and its surroundings with our special guided tours. Wander the streets of the Old Town, enter the spectacular Church of Santa María and climb its vaults, or learn about and taste the unique features of the Tolosa market.
Visit to the Old Town and Tasting of Local Products
Also, as a new feature this year, after visiting Tolosa’s Old Town, you can enjoy a tasting of local products at JO Topagunea.

Guided tour of Tolosa's old town
On a guided tour lasting approximately one hour, you’ll discover the history of Tolosa, the importance of its location, and other interesting facts about its history.

Church of Santa María and its vaults
This tour allows you to access one of the largest churches in Gipuzkoa, the large nave formed by columns. But without a doubt, the highlight of the visit is the chance to walk on top of the vaults. Of course, you’ll have to be prepared to climb the stairs.

Visit to the Tolosa fair and taste local products
The Tolosa fair is, without a doubt, the best gastronomic photo op in the region. The unavoidable plan for Saturday. In this tour, you’ll visit the fair with a guide, where you’ll learn about the different producers and a wide range of products. At the end, you’ll enjoy a tasting of seasonal products at “JO Topagunea.”

Puppetry Course for Children
Topic is the International Puppet Museum of Tolosa. The Puppet House. It’s a very fun plan to go with children. Here’s the special agenda for these days, although the museum is also open to all audiences and ages on other days.
From April 14th to 16th, from 9:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a puppetry course will be offered for children ages 6 to 12. Throughout the course, children will work on a children’s book/story, creating characters, and finally, the course will conclude with a collective storytelling.
The course costs €45 and three days of attendance are required.
Culture and Art: Exhibitions Not to Be Missed
The Topic Puppet Museum will be open throughout Holy Week. But this year will be special, as you can visit the Nestor Basterretxea and the Giant of Altzo exhibition. It will offer the opportunity to discover one of the unknown works of this great draftsman, sculptor, and artist in general: his puppetry.
In addition, the Topic will host the “Girovago e Rondella” exhibition, which will allow you to enjoy the magical universe created by the puppets of this family of puppeteers.
Rafa Gorrotxategi Chocolate Museum
A paradise for those with a sweet tooth.
If you love chocolate, don’t miss the Rafa Gorrotxategi Chocolate Museum. There you can take a guided tour or participate in workshops to learn more about the history and production process of chocolate. It’s an ideal plan for the whole family, and can also be visited independently.

Guided Tour "Kutsidazu bidea Ixabel"
If you enjoy literature and walking, you can take the guided tour “Kutsidazu bidea Ixabel” on April 12th. This beautiful path from Hernialde to Alkiza will allow you to delve into a wonderful story. Accompanied by several humorous passages, it tells the adventures of a person who attended the Alkiza Basque school to improve his Basque.
