Local meat fair

The Tolosa Local Meat Fair will once again pay tribute to the variety of products from local producers.

It will be held from 15 to 18 May and will combine a producers’ fair, tastings, workshops, a stew competition and music.

Tolosa will once again be the meeting point for numerous types of meat from the Basque Country, from 15 to 18 May. The Local Meat Fair, as well as highlighting and bringing the variety of local producers’ products on offer, will combine the option of buying and selling, tastings and music.

Producers' fair, the main event

The local meat producers’ fair will be the main event on the programme. From 09:00 to 14:00 on Saturday, the Triangulo will host stalls selling different types of meat, such as beef, horse and pork. There will be five in total:

Aralar’eko – Horsemeat – Amezketa
Zuzitza baserria – Beef and veal – Amezketa
Ueta etxaldea – Organic veal – Lizartza
Argaia-Goena – Beef and pork – Amezketa
Amalarre – Pasture-raised organic meat – Bidania-Goiatz

There will also be the option of tasting meat, starting at 10:30 am. Live roasts will be held in the Triangulo itself: on the one hand, roast lamb with burduntzi and zikiro, from the producers of Berastegi, as well as skewers of loin head prepared using the smoked smoker technique. Meat pintxos from the stalls at the fair will also be available for tasting. Tickets can be purchased on the same day at the Triangulo.

Zumarditxikia, leisure area

There will also be an opportunity for leisure activities at Zumarditxikia, where there will be food trucks with a range of products made with local meat and live music. It will be open on Friday (18:00-00:00), Saturday (12:00-00:00) and Sunday (12:00-16:00).

There will be five stalls in this area: Harakno, Cárnicas Goya-Mele Mele, Basque Truck, Ondalan and Kemekomo. They will offer dishes made with products from producers from Tolosaldea and the Basque Country.

As for the concerts, Peachy Joke, Maskak, DJ Makala, Txinosound, Anne Leux, Heitxi, Arnau And The Honky Tonk Losers, DJ Bitter Ama & Txino and Mogumbo brass band will be performing. The schedules are available below, as well as on the website https://tolosakoazoka.eus/haragienazoka/

The assembly work and the development of the event will require the withdrawal of cars in Zumarditxikia, from 06:00 hours on Wednesday. The car park will open as soon as the dismantling and cleaning work is completed on Monday 19th.
